Why Our Reentry Programs Work

Recent studies show that mandatory minimum prison sentences and lengthy jail terms do not reduce crime. In fact, mass incarceration places undue economic stress on families with a loved one in prison as well as stymies the economic growth of communities of color, in particular.

Reentry Center for Women is changing the lives of women who face an uphill battle toward meaningful employment with the following program initiatives:

  • Successful reintegration to society

  • Development of employable skills

  • Job creation

  • Unemployment reduction

  • Self-sufficiency

  • Recidivism reduction

  • Keep women and children together

  • Foster healthy families

  • Raise awareness of growing need for rehabilitation versus mass incarceration
