How do I qualify for your reentry programs?
Female ex-offenders may call our office for information or submit a quick registration form to determine her eligibility for reentry programs and services.
How can reentry programs help me?
Our reentry programs are designed to address the individual triggers which cause formerly incarcerated women to re-offend. Please contact our office and speak to a case manager for additional information.
Are your programs for women only?
Yes. Due to gender-specific needs of formerly incarcerated females, we only accept women into our reentry programs.
Do you provide interview attire?
We make sure that you have everything needed to go on a job interview, including proper attire.
If I re-offend, can I still participate in your programs and receive services?
We evaluate re-offenders on a case by case basis and rely on a number of factors to make this determination.
Will I need to pay for programs and services?
No. Our reentry programs and services are free of charge.
Do you take walk-ins?
No. We accept clients by appointment only. Call our office or submit an inquiry via our contact us page to schedule an appointment.
How long can I stay in the reentry program?
Our re-entry programs and services are not designed with any specific time limit. Therefore, our clients are able to take full advantage of our resources for as long as necessary while developing a personalized program to suit her needs.
Do you offer a residential program?
No. We do not offer a residential program, however refer our clients to a local partner agency that provides housing to women recently released from prison.
How do your programs and services differ from those which I received while incarcerated?
Unlike state-run re-entry programs, Reentry Center for Women has an abundance of resources available to help formerly incarcerated women re-adjust to each aspect of their lives. Therefore, we are able to give you the individualized attention that is needed to become a successful mother, wife, employee, etc.
Do I need a referral from my parole officer to be eligible for your programs and services?
No. Reentry Center for Women is different from other reentry programs in the area because we do not require a referral from your parole or probation officer.
If I am on probation, can I take advantage of your programs and services?
Yes. Our programs and services are unique because they are geared toward both probationers and parolees. However, please verify whether or not out of county travel restrictions have been placed on your community sentence.
Can you help me get charges and/or convictions expunged?
Yes. Criminal justice reform laws in North Carolina which allow for the expunction of certain convictions continue to evolve. Call us, and we will show you how to clean up your criminal record.
